Reflex
Photonics Inks Mink as Director of Operations
Industry veteran to oversee supply
chain management, manufacturing and volume production for
leading optical connectivity solutions provider
Mountain View, Calif. (August 5, 2008)
- Reflex Photonics, an advanced developer of extreme high-speed
optical connectivity solutions for semiconductor packaging
and data transfer applications, announced that it has hired
Brian Mink as its director of operations to ramp the company
to volume production and meet rapidly growing customer demand.
Mink is responsible for managing and overseeing all initiatives
related to supply chain management, internal operations and
both internal and outsourced manufacturing, optimizing the
company’s manufacturing processes for volume production.
“I believe that Reflex Photonics, with its strong management
team and groundbreaking technology, provides a unique opportunity
to address the increasing need for enhanced optical and semiconductor
connectivity solutions for network, storage and enterprise
environments,” said Mink. “This is an amazing
time to be a part of Reflex Photonics’ growth. We expect
our solutions to break through the current speed barriers
of optical communications, thus enabling high performance
computers, networks and storage infrastructure to perform
as never before.”
Prior to joining Reflex Photonics, Mink was president of
Innovator Electronic Manufacturing Services at Lyrtech Signal
Processing, where he was responsible for all aspects of manufacturing
including contract-manufacturing services for the North American
market. Mink previously served as the director of quality
control, materials and finance for Innovator Electronic Assembly
(IEA), ultimately becoming the company’s president and
CEO. IEA was acquired by Lyrtech in May 2006.
Mink spent five years as materials and M.I.S. manager at
CeraTel Microelectronics, an ISO 9000 packaging company of
microelectronic circuits. When Montreal-based, optoelectronics
manufacturer Silonex Inc. purchased CeraTel Microelectronics,
Mink was named corporate purchasing manager where he was responsible
for the procurement department of both organizations.
“This is a very exciting time for Reflex Photonics
and we feel fortunate to have someone with Brian’s experience
and track record of success join our team,” said Gary
Moskovitz, president and CEO, Reflex Photonics. “Customer
demand for our proprietary InterBOARD® modules
and active optical cables, as well our unique Light on
Board® solutions and LightABLE™ optical
engines, has been through the roof. We feel that, with Brian’s
direction, we can optimize our manufacturing processes to
meet this demand and continue to make great strides in improving
optical connectivity and semiconductor packaging solutions
for storage and data transfer applications.”
About Reflex Photonics

of extreme high-speed optical connectivity solutions for semiconductor
packaging and data transfer applications. Through the integration
of its unique and proprietary LightABLE™ core
technology, Reflex Photonics focuses on both inter printed
circuit board applications, with its InterBOARD®
product line of parallel modules and active optical cables,
as well as intra pc board and "fiber to the chip package"
applications, using its Light On Board® optically-enabled
semiconductor packaging solutions. The company addresses the
growing demand for high-speed interconnects in enterprise-class
storage/server environments and telecom-class switches/routers,
enabling equipment developers to design smaller, lower cost
and lower powered systems that result in higher fidelity and
faster connectivity.
